Terms of Service
Last updated: 7 June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Kafal Motors platform for renting, buying, and selling vehicles in Nepal. By creating an account or booking, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's licence.
- Foreign drivers must hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) to legally drive in Nepal.
- You must complete identity verification before a booking is confirmed.
2. Bookings & payments
- Rental prices are shown per day in the currency listed. A service fee and any selected add-ons (e.g. pre-paid cleaning) are shown before you pay.
- A refundable security deposit is authorised separately and released after the vehicle is returned in acceptable condition.
- Payment is processed securely by Stripe. By paying, you authorise the charge for the rental, fees, add-ons, and any deposit hold.
3. Use of the vehicle
- Drive lawfully and only on roads suitable for the vehicle. Off-road use is at your own risk unless expressly permitted.
- No subletting, racing, towing beyond rating, or driving under the influence.
- Return the vehicle on time, with the agreed fuel level, at the agreed location.
4. Damage, fines & charges
You are responsible for damage, traffic fines, and toll charges incurred during your rental, subject to the insurance cover included with your booking. Documented damage beyond fair wear may be charged to your card or deducted from the deposit, with photo evidence shared with you.
5. Insurance
Rentals include the insurance cover described at booking. Cover may carry an excess/deductible and exclusions (e.g. damage from prohibited use). You remain liable for amounts not covered by insurance.
6. Used-car marketplace
Listings for buying and selling vehicles are provided by sellers. Kafal Motors facilitates introductions, inspections, and (where offered) financing, but is not the seller of privately listed vehicles unless stated. Verify any vehicle independently before purchase.
7. Cancellations
Cancellation and refund terms are set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kafal Motors is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, and disputes are subject to the courts of Kathmandu.
